Here for you to enjoy: Horseshoe pits, pool tables, ping pong tables, Music, overnight camping.
All this in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, so plan your events, poker runs or just come and visit us.

We support our local Veteran Organizations in need.
We have donation bins on site for:

1. Veterans State Nursing Home at South end of Medical Center, near bldg. 47 Salt Lake City Utah.
Items needed:
Full-size toiletries to put in large welcome baskets desired.
Shaving gel, stationery,combs, brushes, fingernail polish/remover, body/hand lotion, pens.
Hard candy/miniature candy bars for prizes in games/Bingo.
Paperbacks for their own library desired.
Puzzle, X-Word books desired.
Sodas (Coke, Sprite, Diet Dr. Pepper, Root Beer, Gator Ade, water) for field trips.

2. Homeless Vets Fellowship Apartments; Works with approx. 120 vets a year. location Ogden Utah.
Emphasis on rebuilding life skills, such as budgeting, social interaction, housekeeping, cooking.
80% successfully move to independent housing.
Items needed:
Basic “meat and potatoes” canned goods not past expiration.
full size toiletries (e.g. shampoo, shave cream, toothpaste).
X-Word/ Word Search puzzles (delivered with boxes above).
Large jigsaw puzzles complete with all pieces.

In the Salt Lake City Ogden area.

Drive Vets to appointments from Ogden

2. Julie at Ogden’s George Wahlen Veterans’ Home, 801-334-4300 (Ext 0 for operator to connect to Julie).
Help with crafts, singing, coloring, painting, not music.
Volunteers must be reliable for time and schedule.
Must be vetted for maturity, and capability to move heavy patients in wheelchairs.
Takes on the scope of a part-time job similar to volunteers at museums.
Volunteers needed to help with outside Spring clean-up and getting garden ready for resident outside activities – Check with Andrea (activity scheduler – 801-334-4332).
Volunteers needed to set up and take down decorations for major holidays.
